29-year-old Midfielder Breaks Silence on Arsenal Transfer Links Amid Competition From PL Rivals

This is the latest Arsenal transfer news as Bundesliga star breaks silence on links with Arsenal and Premier League rivals.

What’s the Latest Transfer News?

Joshua Kimmich expresses calmness regarding his Bayern Munich future, even as the highly sought-after midfielder approaches the final year of his contract.

As the summer of 2025 approaches, the Germany international is set to become a free agent. With his contract winding down, he’s been increasingly linked with clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.

While he’s curious about who will succeed Thomas Tuchel as Bayern boss, his future remains uncertain.

What Has Joshua Kimmich Said About His Transfer Links?

He told German newspaper Welt: “For me, the situation is very clear. I still have over a year left on my contract, so I’m relaxed about it. As of now, it is still unclear who will be our new coach from the summer.

“It is, of course, very interesting and important to know who it will be. My first priority now is to make the season as positive as possible, in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League. Then comes the Euros. These are the things that matter.”

Joshua Kimmich

Kimmich remains committed to Bayern Munich, despite speculation about his future. Despite reports linking him to a potential move away, including interest from Newcastle United earlier in the year, Kimmich is determined to achieve success with Bayern.

However, there are rumours that Bayern may consider selling him this summer to avoid losing him for free.

Kimmich was asked if Bayern’s current 10-point gap behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, bothers him, he responded: “Very, absolutely. When you start the season with Bayern, you want to become champion. But I also have to say that Bayer Leverkusen are having an outstanding season. We’re not doing great.

“There are still points up for grabs – we haven’t written them off yet. But, of course, we see that Leverkusen are on a run. We go into every game to win. We can’t influence what Leverkusen do.”

Currently, Kimmich is on Germany international duty for Germany with upcoming matches against France on Saturday and the Netherlands on Tuesday. Following these fixtures, he will resume Bundesliga play with Bayern against Borussia Dortmund on March 30th.
