Ian Wright and Gary Neville Disagree Over Their Score Predictions for Arsenal Premier League Clash vs Leicester
Arsenal will be aiming to maintain their strong performance as they host Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners have remained unbeaten since the international break, securing victory in the North London derby and earning a draw against Manchester City.
In addition to their league efforts, Arsenal progressed to the fourth round of the League Cup by defeating Bolton Wanderers, and they have earned a point in the Champions League following a draw with Atalanta.
Mikel Arteta’s team will now face a challenging Leicester City side, which have recorded three draws in the league this season but has not yet secured a win in the top flight.
Leicester managed to earn a point against Tottenham in their opening match and also advanced in the League Cup by overcoming Walsall in a penalty shootout.
Sky Sports pundits Ian Wright, Gary Neville, and Jamie Carragher have shared their predictions regarding how they believe the Gunners and the Foxes will perform this weekend.
Ian Wright Backs and Fellow Pundits Back Arsenal for Clean-sheet Win Over Leicester
Given that Arsenal are contending for the title and playing on home turf, it’s not surprising that many analysts are predicting a victory against the newly-promoted Foxes.
Wright’s forecast differs somewhat from Carragher and Neville, who believe the Gunners will secure a more significant victory than Wright has indicated.
On the Stick to Football podcast, Wright predicted a comfortable 2-0 win for Arsenal over Steve Cooper’s team.
Carragher then said: “I think 3-0,” and Neville agreed with the Liverpool legend, saying: “Yeah, we’ll go 3-0.”
Will Leandro Trossard Play vs Leicester?
Arsenal are facing several injury concerns ahead of their upcoming match against Leicester. Key players such as Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Takehiro Tomiyasu will not be available for selection.
Additionally, there are concerns regarding David Raya and Jurrien Timber’s fitness. Following Jack Porter’s start in goal against Bolton, it appears that summer signing Neto may have the opportunity to make his debut in goal.
Leandro Trossard, who received a red card in the previous match against Manchester City, will be eligible to play against Leicester. His suspension only affected one domestic game, which he missed against Bolton, thus allowing him to return for the clash with the Foxes.
On the other hand, Leicester will be missing Jannik Vestergaard due to an ankle injury, along with Patson Daka and Jakub Stolarczyk, who are also unavailable for the match.
