“Best in the Business” – TalkSPORT Pundit Says One Arsenal Player is Truly “impossible to Defend” Against
Arsenal secured a 3-1 victory against Southampton on Saturday, maintaining their strong position in the Premier League title race as they head into the October international break.
The Gunners faced challenges in penetrating the Saints’ defense early on, which ultimately cost them when Cameron Archer scored for the visitors in the 55th minute, breaking the deadlock.
However, Arsenal quickly equalised, with Kai Havertz scoring in the 58th minute, continuing his streak of goals in every match at the Emirates Stadium this season.
Just ten minutes later, Gabriel Martinelli put Arsenal ahead, and Bukayo Saka completed the scoring in the 88th minute, sealing the win for Mikel Arteta’s team.
Saka was instrumental in all three goals, providing assists for both Havertz and Martinelli before scoring himself.
Following the match, TalkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy commented on Saka’s performance, highlighting a particular aspect of his game that makes him the “best in the business.”
Bukayo Saka Can Cross the Ball Like No Other
Cundy stated on talkSPORT (5/10/2024, 5:14 PM) that no one in the game can deliver a cross from the right flank to the far post as effectively as Saka.
The former Chelsea player pointed out that Saka had executed a similar play during the 2-2 draw against Chelsea last year, adding that he once again helped Arsenal get “out of jail”.
Cundy said: “I think Saka on that right-hand side, I don’t think there’s a better crosser of the ball from that ball to the far post.
“He did exactly the same thing against Chelsea last year, Trossard scored. We drew 2-2 with them.
“It’s impossible to defend if you get a late runner and you stay onside. You arrive at the far post.
“He is the best in the business. He has a wand of a left foot. And he gets them out of jail and they go on to win again.”
How the Media Reacted to Bukayo Saka Performance Against Southampton
Football.london gave Saka a 9 out of 10 and wrote: “When Arsenal needed a hero, Saka stepped up yet again.
“A superb assist for Havertz and then his cross to Martinelli at the back post was even better. One of the most dependable players in this Arsenal side right now.”
Likewise, Goal.com went with 9 out of 10 and wrote: “Two more assists, the second of which – for Martinelli – was superb.
“Then scored the third himself with a deadly finish on his right foot. So consistent. Just always delivers.”
