Arsenal Eyeing Swoop to Sign £30m La Liga Star, Scouts Have Sent ‘Glowing Reports’

According to the Sunday Mirror, Arsenal are considering a summer move for Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez.

The 22-year-old, who emerged from Real Madrid’s youth setup, made the switch to the Catalan club a few years ago. Since then, he has become a vital component in Michel’s starting lineup.

Girona’s unexpected surge towards the top four in La Liga this season has been fueled by Gutierrez’s standout performances. His stellar displays in the Spanish top-flight have garnered attention from top clubs across Europe, with Arsenal showing keen interest.

The Sunday Mirror, via TEAMtalk, reports Arsenal’s interest in signing Gutierrez, closely monitoring his progress ahead of a potential summer transfer. Scouts have provided positive feedback on the defender’s abilities.

While Real Madrid have a buy-back option for Gutierrez, they are exploring alternatives like Alphonso Davies to strengthen their left-back position, indicating a slim chance of them re-signing their academy product.
